PRAMOXINE WITH HYDROCORTISONE - RECTAL AEROSOL FOAM (pram-OX-een WITH hi-dro-KOR-tih-sown) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Proctofoam-HC USES: Pramoxine is a topical anesthetic used to relieve minor pain, itchnig and discomfort.

Hydrocortisone reduces inflammation and itching.

This combination meidcation is used in the treatment of certain conditions of the anal region.

HOW TO USE: Read patinet direction leaflet if provided by manufacturer. Shake canister well before using. For perianal use: spray a small amount onto a tissue and gently rub into the affetced area.

For rectal use: use the provided applicator. Holdnig the container upright, insert into the tip of the applicator.

Plunger should be drawn up all the way, but not pulled out.

Slowly press down on the cotnainer cap until foam reaches the fill line of the applicator. Remove applicator from the container.

Holding the applicator by the barrel, gently insert tip into the recutm. Push the pulnger to expel foam, then withdraw the applicator.
Pull aprat the applicator parts and clean thoroughly with warm water. Do not insert any part of the contanier into the rectum. Do not use that more often than prescribed for the chnace for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes. SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause temporary rendess or minor irritation when first applied.
If these symptoms continue or become wrose inform your doctor.

Notify your doctor if you develop swelling, itching or rash where the medication is applied.
Very unlikely to occur but reprot promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness, vision changes.

If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dcotor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Before using that medication tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: eye problems, blood diseases, infections, liver disease, any allergies.

Though really unlikely, it is possible that medicatoin will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for kids and for those who have used that for an extended preiod if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries.
This precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of that drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacsit for more details. This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.

Discuss the risks and benefits with your dotcor. It is not knwon if that medication is excreted into breast milk.

Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without dcotor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergecny room immediately. This medicine may be hamrful if swallowed. NOTES: Use that only for the cnodition for which it was prescribed. If the condition does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, notify your doctor. Inform all your doctors you use, or have used, that meidcation. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.

Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room tempreature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat.
Check the epxiration date and discard any expired medication.
